On Monday, CM Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone for an IKEA megamall, which is set to be constructed in Noida. The ceremony was conducted through a virtual event from Lucknow, the reports stated. Here are all the details related to the reports.
As per reports, the store is expected to start its construction in Sector 51 and is being regarded as a key investment in the state of Uttar Pradesh. According to an official statement, it reflects a growing confidence between domestic and international investors.
The Ingka Centres, which is a part of the IKEA Retail and Ingka Investments, has announced an investment of Rs 5,500 crore for the establishment of its second project in the country; being constructed under the Lykli brand. The project is situated right behind Sector 51 and Sector 52 metro stations, according to more information on its location. The place is expected to offer luxurious mixes of retail to its patrons, which include dining, co-working spaces, entertainment, and cultural experiences. The project is expected to be completed by 2028.
In a September 9 statement, the company revealed that the project is anticipating over 25 million visitors while generating more than 9000 jobs. It will cover 47,833 square meters of land, becoming one of the biggest retail developments in the Delhi-NCR region.
The Lykli Noida project will be introducing a “Meeting Place” concept, aiming to merge retail with communal spaces. It means that people will now have a place to shop, work, interact and let loose, all in a single destination. According to the company, they want to deliver a versatile and multifaceted retail experience.
Apart from IKEA, Lykli Noida will offer modern workspaces, and hospitality areas with dining and hotel options. Furthermore, people will get to enjoy “Edutainment” zones, specially built for learning and venues for social and cultural gatherings. Ingka Centres have already announced the launch of their first meeting place, Lykli Gurugram, expected by late 2025. The company is investing Rs 3,500 in this project, reports state.
