Why Several UP Govt Exam Results Have Not Been Declared For Years

The recruitment of 1071 Assistant Professors by the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Services Commission (UPHESC) in 2022 faced setbacks due to administrative restructuring.

Several government job recruitment drives in Uttar Pradesh have faced prolonged delays, leaving thousands of aspirants in uncertainty. These recruitment processes, spanning several years, highlight significant administrative challenges and procedural issues within the state’s recruitment agencies.

One of the enduring examples is the recruitment of 1477 Junior Engineers and Foremen by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), initiated in 2018. Despite conducting document verification for 4568 candidates between August 2023 and September 2023, the results are yet to be declared, leaving applicants in limbo.

Another contentious case is the Lekhpal Recruitment, where 8085 candidates were examined in July 2022. Although results were announced in December 2023 and appointment letters distributed by PM Modi in January 2024, subsequent legal challenges have stalled the joining process, now pending in the Supreme Court.

The recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Post-Graduate Teachers (PGT), advertised by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board, further worsens the issue. Despite receiving applications from 4,163 candidates in mid-2022, no examination date has been announced yet, prolonging the wait for hopefuls.

In a similar vein, the recruitment of 1071 Assistant Professors by the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Services Commission (UPHESC) in 2022 faced setbacks due to administrative restructuring. The merger with the Education Service Selection Board delayed the examination schedule, impacting over one lakh applicants awaiting official dates.

The Uttar Pradesh Gram Panchayat Officer Recruitment 2018 witnessed written examinations and subsequent document verifications, but the final results are still pending, leaving candidates uncertain about their status.

Events like the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024, where allegations of paper leaks led to the cancellation of the February 2024 exam, highlight ongoing challenges in maintaining examination integrity. The promised re-examination within six months remains pending, awaiting an official announcement from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Similarly, the UPPSC RO/ARO Recruitment exam, initially held on February 11 but cancelled due to reported paper leaks, underscores the vulnerabilities in the examination process. Despite arrests related to the incident, the date for re-examination is yet to be confirmed.
