The Taured mystery, which originated in July 1954, still buzzes the internet. It involved a man who claimed to be from an unmapped country and vanished overnight after he was kept for investigation. Some people claim that the mystery man came from another universe, while others believe that he was a time traveller who mistakenly landed at the airport. Many believe that this is an internet hoax which was originated by curious individuals. The incident took place in July 1954 when a smartly dressed man allegedly entered Haneda Airport in Tokyo and was heard speaking French. When questioned by the customs officers, the mysterious passenger said he was from Taured. The mystery man claimed that it was the third time he was visiting Japan from his country. To the surprise of the officers, they couldn’t find any country named Taured. It was not even on the world map, but he claimed that his country existed between France and Spain for more than 1000 years. The primary language of the man was French.
The man reportedly spoke Japanese and other languages as well. The passport looked authentic but the place was not recognised. When asked to point his country on the world map, the mysterious man pointed to the area occupied by the Principality of Andorra. It is at the border of France and Spain. During the investigation, the man shared details of the company he was working for and the hotel in which he was staying. Officials found out that the company he mentioned existed in Tokyo, but not in Taured. Similarly, the hotel he mentioned did exist but hotel employees informed them that no such booking was made.
The officers at the airport became suspicious and arrested him for investigation. He was kept in a hotel overnight under the security of two guards. The next morning when the officers went to his room, the man was nowhere to be found. There was no trace of him there. There were no documents left and no proof of his escape. The search for the man was launched by the investigating officers. His escape remains a mystery for cops.
