In a shocking incident, three students of a university in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida were arrested on Friday who stole a brand-new vehicle from a showroom in order to help one of his friends take his girlfriend out for a drive in a new car.
The incident took place on September 26, but the details emerged in the case recently, NDTV reported.
As per the report, two college students asked for a test drive of a brand-new Hyundai Venue car at car bazaar in Greater Noida. The car dealer, who was accompanying the accused students, took the vehicle out of the parking lot and the duo got in the car. One of them took the driver’s seat and the other sat in the rear.
As per the police, the duo later pushed the car dealer out of car and sped away. The police said that it had scanned footage from over 100 CCTVs and used manual intelligence to trace the accused. It later found the car and arrested the accused trio.
