Centre Grants Classical Language Status to Marathi

Securing this award at the national level was made possible in large part by the efforts of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his administration. Many benefits come with being classified as a classical language, including more financing for Marathi promotion, the creation of research facilities, and support for programs aimed at maintaining its legacy. Marathi now has official status among other classical languages, such as Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, and Odia, highlighting its literary and historical importance.
Centre Approves 2 Agri Schemes With Outlay Of Rs 1 Lakh Crore
To promote sustainable agriculture and guarantee food security, the Union Cabinet agreed on October 3 on the rationalisation of numerous agri schemes into two overarching programs, PM Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishonnati Yojana, with an estimated budget of more than Rs 1 lakh crore. While the KY will target food security & agricultural self-sufficiency, the PM-RKVY program will support sustainable agriculture. The implementation of PM-RKVY and KY, the two umbrella programs, is planned to cost a total of Rs 1,01,321.61 crore. The state governments are in charge of carrying out these programs.

Gandhi attempted to persuade Kasturba, but she became agitated and stated, “It is very easy to say such things to others…” At that point, Gandhi decided to stop taking his food with salt.
