UPSC CSE Prelims Results 2024 Released at upsc.gov.in; How to Check

Candidates who sat in the UPSC CSE 2024 will be able to download the results at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) 2024 results. Candidates who sat in the UPSC CSE 2024 will be able to download the results at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The UPSC CSE exam was held on June 16 in two shifts for General Studies Paper 1 and Paper 2 and carried a total of 400 marks. The question paper consisted of objective-type questions with 4 options each.

Candidates who clear the preliminary exams will be called for the next round: UPSC CSE Mains. It includes two parts: a written examination and a personality test. As per the commission’s exam calendar, the Mains exam is scheduled to commence on September 20.

As per last year’s trend, the exam was conducted on May 26 and the results were released on June 12.

The UPSC CSE Cut-Off is critical in determining the fate of lakhs of civil services aspirants competing for prominent posts in the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, and other top services. The UPSC Prelims Cut-Off for the General Category in 2023 was recorded at 75.41.

UPSC CSE Prelims Results 2024: steps to download

Step 1. First, visit the official website of UPSC i.e.,upsc.gov.in.

Step 2. Click on the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Result 2024 link on the homepage.

Step 3. A new page will be opened asking you to fill in all the required details.

Step 4. Choose the “Submit” option and your results will be displayed.

Step 5. Download and don’t forget to save a copy for your future needs.

Additionally, candidates should be aware that the marks, cut-off marks, and answer keys for the CS (P) Examination of 2024 will only be posted on the Commission’s website following the completion of the Civil Services Examination and the announcement of the final results.

A total of 1056 vacancies will be filled in the central government services and departments through the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam. This includes the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), the Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Out of the total vacancies, 40 are for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
