UP Police Constable Recruitment: Trainer Islam Nabi says that the physical fitness is checked based on the first race of candidates which takes place on the day of the physical examination. In this, male candidates will have to run 4.8 km in 25 minutes and female candidates will have to complete 2.4 km in 14 minutes
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPRPB) announced new dates for the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination. The written examination will be conducted from August 23 to 31. This examination was earlier conducted on February 17 and 18 which was cancelled due to alleged paper leak.
The board decided to conduct the written examination of Civil Constable Direct Recruitment for 60,244 posts of constables on August 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31, 2024. According to the schedule released, the constable recruitment examination will be conducted in two shifts daily.
Physical fitness trainer Islam Nabi, who imparts physical training to the candidates, said that height of OBC and SC category candidates should be at least 168 cm. At the same time, the minimum height requirement for ST category candidates is 160 cm.
Apart from this, the width of the chest of the male candidates should be at least 79 cm and after completing the race it should be at least 84 cm. The chest width of ST category candidates should be at least 77 cm and 82 cm after the race. The minimum height of general, OBC and SC category women should be 152 cm, while the minimum height of ST category women should be 147 cm.
Islam Nabi said that the first race of candidates is done on the day of the physical examination. In this, male candidates will have to complete 4.8 km in 25 minutes and female candidates will have to complete 2.4 km in 14 minutes. After the race, the width of their chests is measured. If the male candidates fail the 84cm requirement after the race, they are given another chance. If they fail again, they are disqualified.
After this, medical tests are done and the eyesight of the candidates is also examined.
