UP Govt Invests Rs 7,064 Crore In India’s Largest Logistics Hub In Dadri

India’s largest logistics hub will soon be built in Dadri, Greater Noida. To achieve the 1 trillion-dollar economy goal, the Yogi government is investing Rs 7,064 crore in this Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) project. This logistics hub will work like a dry port and will ensure rapid transportation of goods and raw materials. On completion of the project, along with the economic development of Greater Noida, new employment and business opportunities will be created in the entire NCR.

The multi-modal logistics hub will be spread over 823 acres, of which the main development will take place on 455 acres. 17.5 acres have been reserved for commercial and administrative facilities. At the same time, 350 acres have been reserved for rail yards and other projects. The multi-modal logistics hub will serve as a central hub for facilities like container handling, warehousing, cold storage, processing, de-stuffing, and value-added packing.

“It will offer seamless rail connectivity and feature essential amenities including rail platforms, customs clearance, cargo segregation, truck parking areas, and extensive green spaces,” an official spokesperson told The Times of India.

The multi-modal logistics hub of Dadri, located on the eastern and western dedicated freight corridors of the country, will serve as a central hub for services such as container handling, warehousing, cold storage, processing, de-stuffing, stuffing, and value-added packing,” he added.

The multi-modal logistics hub will offer seamless rail connectivity and feature essential facilities like rail platforms, customs clearance, cargo segregation, truck parking areas and extensive green spaces.

The development of MMLH in Dadri is being done on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, which is being overseen by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) guidelines.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has prepared the master detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of approach tracks and Rail Over Rail (ROR) bridge from New Dadri station to the MMLH boundary. The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India has approved the DPR for the construction of railway tracks and terminal stations within MMLH. The tender document for land acquisition and signalling procedures for the approach tracks have also been finalised.
