Two Terrorists Killed In Anti-infiltration Operation ‘Kanchi’ In Jammu & Kashmir’s Nowshera

As per White Knight Corps, the anti-infiltration operation 'Kanchi' was conducted based on information obtained from intelligence agencies

An anti-infiltration operation launched by the Indian Army in the Nowshera region of Jammu and Kashmir in the intervening nights of September 8-9 left two terrorists dead. Ammunitions including two AK-47 rifles and a pistol were recovered during the operation.

As per White Knight Corps, the anti-infiltration operation ‘Kanchi’ was conducted based on information obtained from intelligence agencies and Jammu and Kashmir police. The search operation was conducted in the Lam region of Nowshera.

“Based on inputs from intelligence agencies and @JmuKmrPolice regarding a likely infiltration bid, an anti-infiltration Operation was launched by #IndianArmy on the intervening night of 08-09 Sep 24 in general area Lam, Nowshera. Two terrorists have been neutralised and a large quantity of war like stores including Two AK-47s and one Pistol thus far recovered. Search operation is in progress,” White Knight Corps wrote in an X post.

The anti-infiltration operation is still underway in the region.

Earlier this month on September 2, a massive anti-terror operation was launched in Jammu city after suspected terrorist activity was detected near the largest Army base in the area. Several rounds were fired at Sunjawan Military Station around 10:50 am, resulting in one soldier being critically injured.

The Army base was sealed off to prevent any movement, and a special operations group has been deployed to assist with the operation.

Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled to go to elections in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 1 followed by counting of votes on October 8.
