The Tamil Nadu SSLC (Class 10), Higher Secondary First Year (Class 11) and Higher Secondary Second Year (Class 12) exams will begin in March next year.
The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TN DoGE) in Chennai has officially released the schedule for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC), Higher Secondary First Year (+1) and Higher Secondary Second Year (+2) exams today, October 14. The exams for SSLC, Class 11, and Class 12 will take place in March 2025.
According to the official announcement, the Tamil Nadu board exams for Class 12 will run from March 3 to March 25, 2025. The Class 10 public exams are scheduled from March 28 to April 15, 2025, while the Class 11 exams will take place from March 5 to March 27, 2025. All state board exams will begin at 10 am and conclude at 1:15 pm, with students receiving a 10-minute reading time for the question paper from 10 am to 10:10 am.

During the 2024 board exams, as many as 94.56 per cent class 12 students cleared the exam. Girls surpassed boys, with a pass percentage of 96.44 per cent versus boys’ overall pass rate of 92.37 per cent. The total pass percentage of the TN SSLC this year was 91.55 per cent. Of the 8,94,264 students who took the Tamil Nadu Class 10 examinations, 8,18,743 passed.
