Schools and colleges in Pathanamthitta district will be closed today. However, the district collector informed that there will be no change in the public examinations and university examinations
District Collectors on Thursday (June 27) declared a holiday for schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, and Wayanad districts because of continued heavy rains. Holidays have also been announced for educational institutions in Cherthala Taluk, Alappuzha.
The holiday applies to educational institutions including schools in Pathanamthitta district. Colleges will also be closed. However, the Collector informed that there will be no change in the public examinations and university examinations as per the previous schedule. On June 27, district collector Dr. Dr. Renu Raj announced a holiday. The holiday is not applicable for pre-scheduled exams and PSC exams.
A holiday has also been announced for educational institutions in the Idukki district. District Collector Sheeba George declared a holiday for educational institutions including Anganawadis and professional colleges due to continued rain and strong winds. There will be no change in previously scheduled public examinations and university examinations. The holiday is also not applicable to residential schools.
Educational institutions in Ernakulam district have also declared a holiday on Thursday. In the event of continued rain and strong winds, the Collector informed that holidays have been granted to educational institutions including Anganawadis and professional colleges in Ernakulam district. There will be no change in previously scheduled public examinations and university examinations.
District Collector V Vigneshwari announced a holiday for educational institutions including Anganwadis and professional colleges in Kottayam district on Thursday due to continued rain and strong winds. Furthermore, due to waterlogging in schools in various taluks of Alappuzha district and heavy rains continuing, the district collector declared a holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges and Anganwadis in the district on June 27. However, there is no change in the pre-scheduled exams.
Not only Kerala, schools in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada will also remain closed today due to heavy rains. District Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan has declared a holiday for all Anganwadis and schools in the district. IMD has issued a red alert for coastal Karnataka.
