The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has invited applications for Management Trainee (MT) posts. Candidates can submit their applications online via the official SAIL website at sailcareers.com. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 249 posts in the organisation. The registration process began on July 5 and will conclude on July 25.
Candidates must provide their GATE 2024 registration number when applying to SAIL. The registration number will be mentioned on the GATE admit card/scorecard. No other numbers, such as the GATE application number or online form number, should be entered during the application process for SAIL.

SAIL Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
— Candidates should have a degree in engineering with at least 65 per cent marks in any of the eight disciplines: chemical, computer, electrical, civil, electronics, mechanical, instrumentation, or metallurgy. SC, ST, PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities), and Departmental candidates with an engineering degree in the required disciplines are eligible to apply with a minimum of 55 per cent marks.
— The age limit for candidates is 28 years as of July 25, meaning they should not have been born earlier than July 25, 1996.
SAIL Recruitment 2024: Application Fees
The application fee is Rs 700 for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, and Departmental candidates are required to pay Rs 200 as a processing fee. Payment can be made online through Net Banking, Credit Card, ATM-cum-Debit Card, or at a bank using a system-generated challan form.
SAIL Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
SAIL is going to recruit Management Trainees (MT) in the eight engineering disciplines using GATE 2024 scores. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through the SAIL careers page, email, or phone to participate in Group Discussion and Interview rounds. The final selection will be based on a merit list combining GATE 2024 scores, Group Discussion, and Interviews, with weights of 75 per cent, 10 per cent, and 15 per cent, respectively.
