Rajasthan Education Department Approves REET 2025: New Exam Format Announced

The exam will feature several significant modifications that candidates can look forward to.

Exciting news has emerged for candidates preparing for the REET recruitment examinations. The Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) for 2025 is scheduled to take place in the second week of January. The Education Department has officially approved the conduct of this recruitment process. Notably, this year, candidates can expect to encounter several significant changes in the examination format and procedures, making it an event to watch closely.

Krishna Kunal, the Administrative Secretary of the Education Department, has announced that preparations are underway to implement new changes in both the examination format and its organisation. This year’s exam will feature several significant modifications that candidates can look forward to. Innovations from the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), the Staff Selection Board, and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be incorporated into the REET examination, enhancing its structure and effectiveness. He stated the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will administer the Level 1 and 2 eligibility tests. Additionally, he confirmed that there will be no increase in the fees for the REET exam this time around, ensuring that the examination process remains transparent. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will oversee the organisation of both the Level 1 and Level 2 eligibility tests.

Steps to Apply:

Step 1: Visit the official website: rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the REET 2025 link and register with your basic information.

Step 3: Fill in the application form with personal and educational details.

Step 4: Upload all the necessary documents.

Step 5: Pay the application fee.

Step 6: Submit the form and keep a copy for future reference.

Examination Fee:

Candidates are supposed to pay an examination fee. For one paper, they should pay Rs. 550 and for both, it is Rs. 750.

In the 2025 REET examination, candidates get five answer options instead of the usual four. As a result, if a candidate fails to select all four options, they must ensure to fill in the fifth option. Failure to do so will result in negative marking, leading to a deduction of points. Additionally, if a candidate neglects to select any of the five options for more than 10 per cent of the questions, they will be deemed ineligible. If a candidate leaves up to 10 questions unanswered, a negative marking will still apply. Furthermore, there are plans to include the candidate’s photograph alongside their roll number on the OMR sheet, with a final decision on this feature coming soon.
