PM KISAN 18th Instalment Money Not Received? Here’s What To Do Now

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th instalment of the PM KISAN Samman Nidhi scheme on October 5, 2024. Under this scheme, each eligible farmer has received Rs 2,000 as part of the financial support initiated by the government in February 2019.

If you’ve applied for the scheme but haven’t yet received your instalment, there’s no need to worry. Delays can happen for various reasons, and steps can be taken to resolve the issue and ensure you receive your benefits.

PM KISAN Instalment Not Received? Here’s What to Do

Now the 18th instalment will be available only to those farmers who have done KYC (PM KISAN KYC). The government has also made it mandatory to get KYC done to avail of the scheme’s benefits. This has been done to prevent fraud in this scheme. Farmers can complete these important tasks at home through OTP and by visiting the Common Service Centre.

Keeping your eKYC information up to date is essential to avoid any disruptions in receiving future payments.

You can file a complaint if you’re a farmer who hasn’t received the Rs 2,000 instalment under the PM KISAN scheme.

Beneficiaries whose names have been uploaded on the PM KISAN portal by the respective state or UT during a given 4-monthly period are entitled to receive payments for that period and all subsequent periods. If you haven’t received your instalment for any reason (except for exclusion criteria), you’re still entitled to the pending instalments once the issue causing the delay is resolved.

For example, if your name was uploaded during the period December 2022 – March 2023, you’re entitled to the instalment for that period and all future ones. Similarly, if your name was added during the April – July 2024 period, you should receive the payment for that period as well as all upcoming instalments.

If you haven’t received the instalment, you can complain. But first, ensure your name appears in the beneficiary list.
