Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hit out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over his remark on Hindus, saying people will not forgive him for centuries.
Replying to the debate on Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister said, “People will not forgive (them) for centuries… Hindu is tolerant. A conspiracy was hatched to falsely accuse Hindus. It was said that Hindus are violent. This is your character, thinking and hatred.”
The Prime Minister said that citizens are hurt by display of photos of the God, apparently referring to Rahul Gandhi showing photos of Lord Shiva, Jesus Christ, and Guru Nanak.
“They have insulted our gods. Jinke darshan hote hain, unke pradarshan nahi hote,” he remarked.
“After seeing yesterday, Hindus have to think if this is a coincidence or an experiment,” he added.

Attacking Rahul Gandhi, the PM said, “A trend has begun to gain sympathy. I would like to tell about a child who had returned from school and complained her mother that he was beaten in the school. The child didn’t reveal that he had abused someone in the school, tore a child’s book and stole someone’s tiffin. Yesterday, we saw a childish behaviour in the House. This was to gain sympathy.”
“However, the nation knows that this person is out on bail in a corruption case, he has received punishment for calling an OBC person a thief and he has a case registered against himself for insulting Veer Savarkar,” he added.
