Paralympics: Praveen Bags Gold, Sema Bronze As India’s Tally Rises To 27

Paralympics 2024 September 6 Highlights: Two medals came for India in the day as Praveen Kumar bagged a gold in the long jump event and Hokato Hotozhe Sema won a bronze in the shot put final. 21-year-old Praveen, who was born with a short leg, smashed the Asian record with a best jump of 2.08m in the six-men field to finish on top of the podium. Meanwhile, Sema bagged the bronze medal with a best throw of 14.65m in the F57 class. With it, India’s historic medal tally at Paris Paralympics rose to 27. (Medals Tally)
