NIRF 2024 Rankings: IIM Ahmedabad Retains Lead In Management Category, Check Top 10 Institutes This Year

NIRF Rankings 2024: IIM Ahmedabad has once again secured the top spot as the best management institute in the country, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode

Management Studies is one of the most popular courses in India among working professionals and management aspirants. Choosing the best institute for your management is a big decision. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 was unveiled by the Ministry of Education (MoE) today, August 12 at a press conference. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF ranks 2024 during a press conference, and students may view the ranks on the official website, nirfindia.org.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad maintained its number one position as the top management institute in the nation, according to the NIRF Ranking 2024. The Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Management in Kozhikode followed in at second and third position respectively.

Here’s a look at the top 10 management institutions of 2024:

Rank 1: Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

Rank 2: Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore

Rank 3: Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode

Rank 4: Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

Rank 5: Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta

Rank 6: Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai

Rank 7: Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow

Rank 8: Indian Institute of Management, Indore

Rank 9: XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur

Rank 10:Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

Moreover, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras topped the overall rankings for the sixth consecutive year while the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru was recognised as the top university yet again. The Indian Agricultural Research Institute earned the top spot in agriculture and allied sectors while Hindu College was ranked as the top college in the country.

Developed by MoE, NIRF is a comprehensive rating system to evaluate educational institutions across the country. It evaluates institutions based on several factors including teaching-learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach, inclusivity, and overall perception. The total 100 per cent weightage is distributed as follows: 30 per cent for teaching-learning and resources, 30 per cent for research and professional practice, 20 per cent for graduation outcomes, and 10 per cent each for outreach and inclusivity, and perception.

This year, three new categories was also introduced for Open Universities, State Public Universities and Skill Universities. It was added along with the existing categories including colleges, universities, overall ranking, management, pharmacy, engineering, medical, law, architecture, agriculture and dental colleges.
