NCET 2024 Provisional Answer Key Objection Window Ends Today at ncet.smarth.ac.in

The NTA administered the NCET on June 12 at various centres across the country. The deadline to raise objections to the provisional answer key is today, July 31

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024. The agency has also provided question papers and response sheets to help candidates estimate their scores. Aspirants who took the exam this year can download the answer key from the official website, ncet.smarth.ac.in. The deadline to raise any objections is today, July 31.

NCET 2024 Provisional Answer Key: How to download

Step 1: Navigate to the official website,ncet.smarth.ac.in.

Step 2: Upon reaching the homepage, click on the Login tab.

Step 3: Key in your login details and click on Submit.

Step 4: Next up, click on the link that reads ‘View/Challenge Answer Key’

Step 5: The NCET 2024 provisional answer key will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Download it and match your answer to get an estimated score.

Aspirants who are not satisfied with the answers can raise a challenge by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question along with supportive documents. This year the NTA administered the NCET 2024 exam on June 12 at various centers across the country in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi and Urdu.

The exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and featured a total of 181 questions, with candidates required to attempt at least 160 of them. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

To pass the NCET 2024, candidates belonging to the general category need to score a minimum of 50 per cent marks, while the reserved category students need to achieve a minimum of 45 per cent marks.

NCET is a national-level entrance examination conducted for the students seeking admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State Universities/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs and Government Colleges.

The National Testing Agency is expected to announce the results of the NCET 2024 exam in August. However, an official announcement of the exact date and time is still awaited.
