Meet Atharva Tiwari, The Lucknow Boy Who Helped His Sister Top School In Boards Exams

Samridhi Tiwari credits her brother for her success, stating that she relied on him for help with challenging topics.

The CBSE board results brought one sibling duo into the limelight due to their impressive scores. Atharva Tiwari achieved a remarkable 96% in his 12th-grade exams, while his sister, Samridhi Tiwari excelled in her high school exams with a score of 98.2%, topping her school. The siblings’ success story is particularly notable as Atharva took on the role of Samridhi’s tutor. He organised a study schedule at home, which played a significant role in her becoming the school topper. Samridhi credits her brother for her success, stating that she relied on him for help with challenging topics and did not attend any external coaching classes. Atharva, who was also satisfied with his exam performance, shared that he felt a deep responsibility towards his sister’s education. He personally coached her, regularly tested her knowledge, and focused intensively on areas where she needed improvement. His efforts paid off when Samridhi achieved the highest marks in her school, a moment of pride that Atharva likened to reliving his own high school success.

There’s another similar story where all the four siblings in a family cracked UPSC. All four siblings in this Uttar Pradesh-based family cracked the most competitive exams to become IAS-IPS officers. From Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh comes the Mishra family. Yogesh Mishra, who was appointed as an IAS officer, was the first person to pass the UPSC exam in 2013. In 2015, his sister Madhavi Mishra joined the IAS as well, following in his footsteps.

The eldest sister, Kshama Mishra, passed the exam on a fourth attempt in 2016 and became an IPS officer. The younger brother, Lokesh Mishra, also fulfilled his goal of becoming an IAS official.

Currently, Kshama Mishra is serving as Commandant of the State Police Line in Bangalore. IAS officer Yogesh Mishra is employed by the Ordnance Factory. Deputy Commissioner in the Jharkhand district of Ramgarh is Madhavi Mishra and Lokesh Mishra is serving as DCC in the Jharkhand district of Koderma.

Lokesh completed an engineering degree from IIT Delhi. Same as Yogesh, he completed sociology as an elective. Kshama Mishra, the youngest of the four siblings, passed the test in 2015. She obtained 172 AIR and joined the IPS. All four of the siblings were IAS-IPSs in three years, which is one of the most prestigious positions in India.
