A video of him is also going viral on social media, in which he is getting angry at a retired policeman. The name of this officer is Anurag Verma. IAS Anurag Verma is currently the DM of Satna in Madhya Pradesh. Recently, he has come into the limelight due to an incident that happened knowingly or unknowingly. In fact, recently, the Minister of the State Government Pratima Bagri reached Satna district of Madhya Pradesh to inspect the incident of the embankment of Narayan pond breaking. During this time, local DM Anurag Verma and officers of other departments were also present with her. Due to the embankment breaking here, the water of the pond has entered the houses.
During the inspection, a retired policeman living near the pond was telling the state minister and collector, Anurag Verma, the reason for the dam bursting. It is being told that during this time the officers present there were not ready to accept the reason given by the policeman. It also came to light that collector Anurag Verma got angry when the retired policeman kept on saying his point again and again. He told the retired police personnel that ‘you have said your point; now let’s go.’
Even then, the retired police personnel kept on expressing the pain of his loss. After which collector Anurag Verma got angry, and he said in anger that his house is built wrongly, get it measured, and remove his house. People were making a video of this conversation of the collector, after which the video of the collector’s anger started going viral rapidly.

Satna Collector IAS Anurag Verma is a 2012 batch IAS officer. According to the IAS list given on the Madhya Pradesh government website, Anurag Verma is originally from Uttar Pradesh. He was born on 7 May 1983. He has done an MSc in maths. After that, he prepared for civil services and got selected for IAS. Anurag Verma belongs to the OBC category. He was appointed as IAS on September 3, 2012, and was allotted Madhya Pradesh cadre.
Anurag Verma has been posted as Collector Satna since December 14, 2021. When he became the Satna Collector, he was holding the post of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion. Prior to this, he has also served in Morena and Harda. He has also served as Commissioner in Sagar Municipal Corporation and in Singrauli.
