This year, this hiring campaign aims to fill 44228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions in 23 circles in the country. The positions are spread over several states including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,338 in Chhattisgarh, and 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak will also be done in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. Last year, India post advertised notification for 30,041 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies.

Step 3. Select the particular which you want to edit.
Step 4. Edit and pay the required fees.
Step 5. Submit and save a copy of the acknowledgment form for further use.
The GDS posts include Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevaks. Candidates who have cleared class 10 with compulsory mathematics and English can apply for the posts. Furthermore, they must know how to ride a bicycle. They must be between 18 to 40 years of age. Candidates from reserved categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit. Candidates will be chosen as per the merit list that will be created taking into consideration their class 10 grades.
The pay scale of Assistant Branch Postmaster is between Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470. While the pay scale of the Branch Postmaster is between Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380. Those selected for the posts of Chowkidar will get a monthly salary of Rs 20,000.
