A member of the puja committee mentioned that this is the first time they have started to offer such a laddu that is unique in its own way. Last year, a laddu was auctioned for a price of Rs 27 lakh. The funds that are collected from this auction process are used for development activities in the area.
In a similar incident, a Ganesh Laddu, which was offered at the Ganesh puja of Keerthi Richmond Villas in Bandlaguda, Hyderabad was auctioned for Rs 1.87 crore. Last year, it was auctioned for a price of Rs 1.26 crore.
