Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his response to the debate on the Motion of Thanks thanked voters of India for a third term and said that his party was elected once again due to their zero-tolerance policy against corruption.
“The country has blessed us for our zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and due to this the credibility of India is on the rise across the world. The sole aim of our every policy, every decision, every action has been India first,” Modi said.
He also took jibes at the opposition’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections through a satirical story. “A kid was roaming around with pride that he secured 99 marks and people began to congratulate him. Then his teacher came and said this is not out of 100, this is out of 543,” PM Modi said.
He further added that Congress is now trying to establish that they have performed better this time. “Bacche ka mann behlaane ka kaam chal raha,” he added.
The Prime Minister also thanked President Droupadi Murmu for her address and lauded all the first-time MPs for their conduct in the Parliament.
“I want to congratulate all the MPs, who were elected for the first time for their dignified conduct in the Parliament and thank them for their valuable ideas that they presented in this House,” PM Modi said while addressing the Lok Sabha.
