In a dramatic turn of events, a woman from Bihar’s Muzaffarpur left her husband and two children to run away with her lover after 16 years of marriage. The case emerged from the Aurai police station area in Muzaffarpur district, where a woman has left her husband and two children to pursue a relationship with her lover. The woman allegedly absconded with her lover and also stole a significant amount of money that had been set aside for her daughter’s marriage. Her husband, distressed by her departure and the theft, lodged a formal complaint with the police.
Upon receiving the complaint, local authorities initiated an investigation and following police action, the woman was located and recovered. When questioned by the police, the woman refused to return to her husband, expressing a desire to build a life with her lover instead. This newfound love led her to make the drastic decision to leave her husband and children behind. The couple, who had a love marriage 16 years ago, had been content in their family life, raising a son and daughter together.
The incident began when the woman’s husband, seeking to ease family responsibilities, moved to Mumbai for work. During his absence, the woman developed a romantic relationship with a man of her own age. Despite her efforts to keep the relationship hidden from public eye, the affair eventually came to light. Her husband confronted her, resulting in a heated argument. However, the woman’s attachment to her lover had grown so strong that she was unable to sever ties. Her feelings deepened to the point where, unable to continue the dual life, she decided to leave her husband and children and elope with her lover.
During police interrogation, the woman made several serious allegations against her spouse. She claimed that her husband had been harassing her for the past four years, which led to her frustration. According to her statement, after her husband went to work in Mumbai, she began a romantic relationship with her lover through mobile communications. She asserted that her lover had been caring for her during these years and that they are now married, planning to spend their lives together.
Regarding the accusation of stealing money intended for her daughter’s marriage, the woman denied any wrongdoing, labelling the claim as false. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
