How This Woman’s Candid Coffee Review Landed Her A Job At Sleepy Owl

Standing out in today’s competitive job market can be a tough task. But it seems like a perfect product review can also help you land a job. So was the case with Sleepy Owl Coffee co-founder Ashwajeet Singh, who was so impressed by a customer’s review on Amazon that he decided to offer her a job. Singh shared the screenshot of the review on LinkedIn and even invited her to join their team. Impressed with her content writing skills, he wrote, “Whoever, you are, wherever you are, pls get in touch with me. Sleepy Owl Coffee needs to hire you. What a review – I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time. This is copywriting at its best.”

Well, how did this start? It all happened over two jars of coffee that Prasiddh bought for her date.

Left with extra coffee and no company, she decided to use one jar to keep herself entertained. Despite her best efforts to perfect the brew, she struggled with the preparation. In a quest to find someone who could help—and perhaps become a future partner—she turned to a dating app, humorously detailing her experience in her review.

Woman Gives Hilarious Twist To Daily Coffee Routine

She wrote, “I changed my first image on the apps and put a picture of me and my coffee jars asking, ‘Looking for someone to make frothy coffees with’ Sleepy Owl played the perfect wing-owl for me. Apparently, every single man on the internet is a coffee aficionado. I didn’t mind. I wanted a man who could make me believe. My (future) man texted me the next morning. I clearly shouldn’t have spiralled in one night, but I’ll blame it on the only coffee I can make on this planet-Americano, which I made using my only companion last night, Sleepy Owl, I was wide awake and swiping left, left, left like my relationship status depended on it.”

“He came, he entered the kitchen, he made a cup of frothy coffee and I tasted heaven that day. Was it his touch, was it my own Sleepy Owl, was it the love brewing between us? I don’t know, I was imagining a daily coffee routine between the two of us. I was lost in that mini coffee date moment and one thing led to the other. Next day I woke up from the best coffee date ever and turned to find his side of the bed empty. He left without saying bye,” the reviewer added.

She was left frustrated after discovering that her date had taken one of her precious coffee jars. Her anger was “through the roof,” but it was all for nought as she was blocked by her date. Despite her disappointment, she still praised the coffee. Within a week, she bought more coffee and gave it a perfect five-star rating.

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Fab storytelling. In the world of say everything in 5 seconds, this is what we need.”

Another shared, “Turn this into a DAMN ad.”

“This is a finer version of printing resume on the donut box for recruiters. Love it,” a comment read.

One more added, “I’m now invested. Did they find Prasiddh?”

Since Sleepy Owl Coffee co-founder Ashwajeet Singh shared the post on LinkedIn, it has garnered over 5,000 likes on the platform.
