Rohini Prasad, the warden of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Gumla mentioned that the school will provide free admission to underprivileged children.
The enrollment list of 10 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya schools and 2 JBAV schools in the district of Gumla, Jharkhand has been released by the board. The first merit list for admission to classes 6, 7, 8 and 9 has been published.
Rohini Prasad, the warden of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Gumla mentioned that the school will provide free admission to underprivileged children. She mentioned that the first merit list has been released with a total of 76 girls selected for Classes 6 to 9. As per media reports, there are 50 students selected for admission to Class 6. Students selected for admission in Class 9: Isharani Kumari, Premsi Kumari, Saraswati Kumari, Alpha Kumari, Aarti Kumari and Riya Kumari.
Students who are selected for admission should complete their enrollment process by July 30. Following the completion of the admission process as per the first list, a second list will be issued. The students will receive free education, meals, and accommodation along with various other facilities like free hostel service, free English medium education, smart classrooms, computer labs, well-developed infrastructure, well-equipped science laboratories, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and health awareness programmes.
Students need to carry an Aadhaar card, BPL card, caste certificate, a photocopy of the applicant’s bank passbook, and a transfer certificate from the previous school (TC) for the admission process.
