The Paris Olympics 2024 has witnessed plenty of record-breaking performances but one standout moment was Turkish sports shooter Yusuf Dikec’s appearance and his now-viral body language. In the mixed team 10m air pistol event, Dikec competed without wearing any special gear. Sporting a T-shirt, the 51-year-old was seen shooting with one hand in his pocket. Dikec was able to win a silver medal at the Paris Olympics. His relaxed and unique style quickly caught the internet’s attention. Now, Dikec is bringing his unique charm to social media, as he shot a very unconventional question towards, Elon Musk. On X (formerly Twitter), Dikec asked Musk if robots could win medals with hands in their pockets in future Olympic Games.
Sharing his thoughts, Yusuf Dikec posted the iconic photo of himself from the Olympics 2024 and asked, “Hi Elon, do you think future robots can win medals at the Olympics with their hands in their pockets? How about discussing this in Istanbul, the cultural capital that unites continents?” Elon Musk, intrigued by the question, showed interest in the idea and suggested that it could indeed be possible. “Robots will hit the center of the bullseye every time,” the SpaceX and Tesla Chief responded.

Interestingly, Yusuf Dikec’s social media post comes just days after Elon Musk revealed plans to start production of humanoid robots from 2025. Musk wrote on X, “Tesla will have genuinely useful humanoid robots in low production for Tesla internal use next year and, hopefully, high production for other companies in 2026.”

Representing Turkey at the Paris Olympics, Yusuf Dikec and Sevval Ilayda Tarhan won a silver medal in the mixed team 10-meter air pistol shooting category. It marked Turkey’s first-ever medal in Olympic shooting.
