Did You Know Chhota Bheem’s Chin Tapak Dam Dam Was First Used By Kishore Kumar In 1966

For the past few weeks, Chin Tapak Dam Dam has taken social media by storm, which was featured in Chhota Bheem Season 4. This catchy line has captured everyone’s attention, but many might not even know its roots. The phrase was originally used by Bollywood legend Kishore Kumar in the 1966 film Ladka Ladki. But his line was a bit different, who said, Chi Patak Dam Dam. What’s more interesting is that the phrase was also featured in the song Aasmaan Se Tod Ke Taare from the movie Woh Din Yaad Karo. Since this revelation was made, social media can’t stop calling Kumar the OG trendsetter of this line.

The phrase gained popularity when an anonymous social media user shared a clip from the beloved children’s cartoon, where the character Takia, an evil magician, frequently uses it while attempting to use his magic. Since Takia is spending his time in Dholakpur Jail due to Chhota Bheem, he becomes powerless and repeats the phrase in every sentence during the episode titled Old Enemies. On the other hand, Kumar also used the phrase multiple times in the 1966 film but his version included extended lines, Chi Patak Dam Dam, Amdani Zyada Kharcha Kam and Agad Bum Bum.

Reacting to the clip, a user wrote, “Kishore Da trend setter. Much ahead of its time.”

Another shared, “Kishore Kumar Supremacy.”

“Har ek dialogue ka din aata hai, thoda late hi sahi. (Every dialogue has its day, even if it’s a bit late),” a comment read.

Another wrote, “It means Chhota Bheem copied Kishore Kumar ji.”

An individual shared, “Same same but different.”

One more added, “Chhota Bheem copyright se bach gaya. (Chota Bheem escaped from copyright issues).”

Chhota Bheem focuses on its courageous titular hero, who protects his village, Dholakpur, by solving various problems and fighting against villains. Bheem’s adventures often involve battling with those who threaten his loved ones. The show also includes other characters like Chutki, Raju, Jaggu, Kalia, Dholu, Bholu, Rajkumari Indumati and Tuntun Mausi. Since its launch in 2008, the series has become one of the favourites among children and is currently in its 19th season.
