Despite Financial Hardships, Jharkhand Milk Seller Clears NEET-UG 2024, Secures AIR 386

Mahadev was a brilliant student from the beginning and always came first in the class from the first grade itself.

We often hear and read about the success stories of candidates who crack exams with hard work and dedication. One such exam is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) which is held every year, and thousands of aspirants appear for it. But there are only a few who crack the exam on their first attempt. Today, we will tell you the success story of Mahadev Kumar, who got success in the NEET exam.

Mahadev Kumar, a resident of Pathargama block of Godda in Jharkhand, has brought laurels to his family and village. Despite financial problems, he secured 386 rank in NEET. According to Local18, Kumar has been admitted to Medini Rai Medical College in Palamu. When he arrived in his hometown, the entire village came to congratulate him. His father, Kishan Yadav, sells milk by roaming around the city and villages.

His mother passed away 16 years ago. After this, his father worked hard to provide him with a good education. Mahadev prepared for NEET while staying at home. He also prepared for the exam while staying in Patna for a few months. He used to study for 14 to 16 hours a day. Along with studying at home, he also used to help his father in his work.

Mahadev said that due to his father’s busy schedule, he used to go to the city to sell milk. After doing all the household work, like taking care of the cow and selling milk, he used to take out time for studies. He did his primary education at Gyan Ganga Residential School in the village itself. After this, he was selected in Navodaya Vidyalaya in class 6 and studied till class 10. After this, he completed his 11th and 12th in Patna prepared for NEET for a few days there and then returned home.

Village school teacher Bambam Bagwe said that Mahadev was a brilliant student from the beginning. He used to come first in the class from the first grade itself. Due to his ability, Mahadev also passed the entrance exam of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and completed his studies till 10th standard in Navodaya.
