CTET 2024: CBSE Begins Registration For December Session Exam, Direct Link To Apply

CTET is conducted to qualify for becoming a teacher for classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8. It consists of two papers — one paper is for primary schools (classes 1 to 5) and the other paper is for classes 6 to 8

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024. The online application commenced on September 17 and will continue until October 16, 2024. Those interested and eligible may apply for CTET December 2024 by visiting the official website at ctet.nic.in. The exam will be conducted on December 1, 2024.

CTET is conducted to qualify for becoming a teacher for classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8. It consists of two papers — one paper is for primary schools (classes 1 to 5) and the other paper is for classes 6 to 8. In CTET December 2024, Paper 2 will be conducted from 9:30 am to noon and Paper 1 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Both papers will consist of 150 MCQs, each carrying one mark.

CBSE CTET December 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: According to the eligibility criteria set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), to appear for CTET Paper-1, candidates must have passed 12th with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and two-year D.El.Ed / four-year B.El.Ed course. Whereas for Paper-2, graduation with 50 per cent marks and B.Ed or its equivalent degree is required.

Age Limit: The minimum age to appear for CTET is 18 years. While there is no maximum age limit.

CBSE CTET December 2024: Steps To Apply

Step 1: Go to the official CTET website — ctet.nic.in.

Step 2: Choose the “Apply Online” option and fill out the form.

Step 3: Complete the CTET December 2024 online application.

Step 4: Submit the scanned copy of your documents, signature, and photograph.

Step 5: Submit the examination fee

Step 6: Download and print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.

CBSE CTET December 2024: Application Fee

Application fee for CTET exam General and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 for one paper and Rs 1200 for both papers. While SC, ST, and Divyang candidates will have to pay Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.
