The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has commenced the registration and choice-filling process for the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round from today, August 16 at 10 am. Candidates can register themselves from the official website: csab.nic.in. The last date for the registration is on August 19 and candidates can submit their form by 5 pm.
As per the schedule, the board will declare the seat allotment result on August 20, 2024, at 5 pm. Candidates are needed to upload their required documents, pay the supernumerary seat acceptance fee (SSAF) and complete the online verification process for PwD candidates from August 20 to August 22.
CSAB Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are eligible for the JoSAA 2024 or CSAB 2024 special rounds but do not currently hold a seat in any NIT+ system can participate. In addition, candidates occupying a seat in DASA-2024 will NOT be allowed to participate in the CSAB-2024 Supernumerary Round.
CSAB Counselling 2024: Steps to Register for Supernumerary Round
Step 1: Go to the official CSAB website: csab.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the registration link for the CSAB Supernumerary Round.
Step 3: Login in using your credentials like JEE Main 2024 application number, password and security pin
Step 4: Complete the registration and fill in the choice.
Step 5: Pay the required registration fee online as part of the registration process.
Step 6: Submit the form and take a printout or screenshot of it for future reference.
The CSAB Supernumerary Counselling 2024 is a specialized round of counselling conducted specifically for candidates from Union Territories like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. It is part of the broader CSAB counselling process, which is aimed at filling seats in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

CSAB Counselling 2024: Application Fee
All candidates allocated seats in the Supernumerary round have to pay the Supernumerary Seat Acceptance Fee (SSAF) which includes a non-refundable CSAB processing charge of Rs 5,000. Any fee paid during JoSAA-2024 and/or CSAB-2024 Special Rounds shall be adjusted towards CSAB2024 SSAF after deducting applicable charges of JoSAA and CSAB Special Rounds.
