BPSC 70th CCE Recruitment 2024 Introduces Change In Negative Marking, Check Details

The BPSC 70th Prelims will be for 150 marks and the mains will be for a total of 900 marks.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the notification for the 70th BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE). Currently, only 50 percent of reservations will be applicable. The number of vacancies may change in the future. This time, there has been a change introduced in the system of negative marking in the exam. Commission Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai in an interview with News18 said, “This time, a significant change has been introduced: for every three incorrect answers, one mark will be deducted from a correct answer, a shift from the previous rule of four wrong answers. This adjustment has been made following the style of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This will require candidates to answer more carefully.”

The BPSC’s 70th Recruitment 2024 drive is looking to fill 1,929 vacancies. While the official announcement of registration dates is yet to be disclosed, candidates must note that they will have just one month to submit their applications. Eligible and interested candidates must carefully upload all the necessary documents during the time of application. The BPSC 70th Prelims will be for 150 marks and the Mains will be for a total of 900 marks. The interview will be of 120 marks. The recruitment company is looking to hire candidates for 23 different positions. The Prelims for the 70th BPSC CCE 2024 is slated to be held in the second week of November, which will be shared on the official website as well.

Out of the 1,929 positions, 799 posts are open to candidates in the unreserved category, 604 for women, 34 for grandchildren of liberation fighters, and 66 have been reserved for those with disabilities.

What are the application costs?

For unreserved male candidates, the application cost is Rs 600. For other candidates, it has been kept at Rs 150.

    • You will be required to enter your registration number. After that click on submit.

    • Complete the application and then proceed for payment.
