Barkatullah University Extends Admission Deadline To September 15 To Fill Vacant Seats

Barkatullah University is giving the students another chance to gain admission. The students can now participate in the admission process till September 15.

Barkatullah University (BU) is giving the students another chance to gain admission. The students can now participate in the admission process till September 15, 2024. Earlier the last date for the admission was on August 30. But even after the last date, most of the seats are vacant. Now the university has extended the date of admission to September 15 to fill the vacant seats.

According to the information on the website, about 58 undergraduate, post-graduation and other diploma and certificate courses are running at BU. Out of 1,667 approximate seats in all these subjects, 991 seats were filled till August 30. In this, 293 students have been admitted on about 415 seats in 11 UG courses. Subjects like Biochemistry, BBA Management, PG Diploma Stress Management and MA History had zero admissions. There has been only one admission on 2 seats of Bioscience, 6 admissions in Geo-Informatics, 7 in Botany, 6 in Applied Geology, 8 in Remote Sensing, 5 in Genetics and 8 in IT. Apart from MSc, there have been only 9 admissions in MCom and 2 in MPharma.

Meanwhile, the counselling for admission to about 10.59 lakh seats of UG-PG courses run by the Higher Education Department in 1,336 government and private colleges of the state has ended. Even after two main and four CLC rounds, only 5.65 lakh admissions have been done in UG and PG. In such a situation, about 5 lakh 32 thousand 892 seats have remained vacant in UG-PG this year.

In the two main and three CLC rounds, about 3 lakh 43,408 admissions were done in UG and 96,544 in PG. The department started the fourth round of CLC to fill the vacant seats. The department started the offline admission process but still not many students are admitted to the college. A total of 62,764 students have taken admission in the fourth CLC round.

Application Fee:

The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 300 whereas for the OBC/ SC/ ST candidates it is Rs 150.
