Australian Woman Harassed By Calls After Ex-boyfriend Posts Her Number Around Town

Cairnes’s mother was forced to block dozens of calls after her ex-partner allegedly took her phone number and plastered it on polls around the CBD area in Australia telling people to call up and impersonate Chewbacca for a chance to win money rewards. A mother has disclosed that she used to receive harassing phone calls. Using social media to share her story, she claimed that her ex-boyfriend had spread her number throughout the city as payback for their separation. Following this, she began receiving calls from random people impersonating the Star Wars character Chewbacca quite well.

Jessica Sewell, a 33-year-old mother of three from Queensland, was inundated with calls day and night after her ex-boyfriend’s Star Wars-themed prank. He offered a $100 reward (Rs 8392) to anyone who could give the best Chewbacca impersonation. While Jessica found the prank amusing, she admitted that the constant barrage of calls was quite bothersome.

The woman’s whole narrative is posted on Instagram. “This has been the most childish breakup I have ever had,” the woman remarked. “I don’t love you anymore, I want to move on,” was all he needed to say. Jessica claimed that his spiteful behaviour made her choose to break up with him even stronger.

After receiving Wookiee growls on her voicemails for the past two weeks, Jessica was starting to lose her patience since the incessant ringing was starting to interfere with her kids’ sleep. She said, “ I am getting strange calls at night about 1: 00 am till 4:00 am.”Someone called and said they thought it must have been done as a joke because they had seen (a man) putting up posters,” Jessica said, expressing her dissatisfaction with the Cairns Post. “It hurts my feelings,” Jessica added.

The 2020 event was captured on camera, and when the Instagram account Learn Laugh Speak recently re-shared the video, after which laughs and comments poured in. “In the end, I got the whole joke, and it makes this guy even more legend.” Someone made a joke while commenting on the post.”Sounds like she is looking for love in Alderaan places” commented another commenter. A third person said, “Yeah, this is childish, but it’s also brilliant.”
