The AP Government, Department of School Education has released the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2024 July session notification today, July 2. The registration process will commence on July 4 and will continue till July 17. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the AP TET 2024 by visiting the official website at aptet.apcfss.in.
The AP TET 2024 application fee payment window will open tomorrow, July 3, and will close on July 16. Applicants need to pay a fee of Rs 750 for each paper. The admit cards will be issued on July 25 and the exam will be held from August 5 to 20 in two shifts — 9.30 am to noon and 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The answer key will be released on August 10 and the window to raise objections will remain open from August 11 to 20. The final answer key will be out on August 25 and results on August 30.
AP TET 2024: Educational Qualification
To apply for AP TET 2024, candidates must have a minimum of 45 per cent marks in class 12 or its equivalent. Those who have cleared a two-year diploma in education or two-year diploma in elementary education or four years of bachelor’s in elementary education are also eligible to apply for the exam.
Furthermore, candidates who scored at least 50 per cent marks in class 12 and have a two-year diploma in elementary education/ four years of bachelor’s in elementary education/two-year diploma in education may also apply. Those who have completed graduation along with a two-year diploma in elementary education or graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and completed a bachelor of education are also eligible to apply for AP TET.
Those who have completed post-graduation with a minimum of 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated BEd/ MEd can also apply.
It is to be noted that candidates applying for Paper 2(A) must have completed a bachelor of oriental language or its equivalent or concerned language or subject as optional. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in literature or post-graduation in the concerned language can also apply for the paper.
The AP TET 2024 February session results were issued on June 25. The overall pass percentage stood at 58.4 per cent. Of the total 2,35,907 candidates who took the AP TET 2024, 1,37,903 passed. The exam was conducted from February 27 to March 9. Candidates who qualify for paper 1 will be eligible to teach in classes 1 to 5 and the candidates who clear paper 2 will be eligible to teach classes 6 to 8.
