The AP Government, Department of School Education has commenced the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2024 July session registration process today, July 4. The last date to apply is July 17. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the AP TET 2024 by visiting the official website at aptet.apcfss.in. Applicants need to pay a fee of Rs 750 for each paper.
AP TET 2024: Educational Qualification
To apply for AP TET 2024, candidates must have a minimum of 45 per cent marks in class 12 or its equivalent. Those who have cleared a two-year diploma in education or two-year diploma in elementary education or four years of bachelor’s in elementary education are also eligible to apply for the exam.
Candidates who scored at least 50 per cent marks in class 12 and have a two-year diploma in elementary education/ four years of bachelor’s in elementary education/two-year diploma in education may also apply. Those who have completed graduation along with a two-year diploma in elementary education or graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and completed a bachelor of education are also eligible to apply for AP TET. Those who have completed post-graduation with a minimum of 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated BEd/ MEd can also apply.
It is to be noted that candidates applying for Paper 2(A) must have completed a bachelor of oriental language or its equivalent or concerned language or subject as optional. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in literature or post-graduation in the concerned language can also apply for the paper.
AP TET 2024: How to Register?
Step 1: Visit the official website — aptet.apcfss.in.
Step 2: Click on the link to make the application payment.
Step 3: Complete the fee transaction and log in with the required credentials.
Step 4: Fill up the application form.
Step 5: Upload the required documents. Submit.
Step 6: Download and keep a hard copy of the acknowledgment form for future reference.
AP TET 2024 will be held from August 5 to 20 in two shifts — 9.30 am to noon and 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The admit cards will be issued on July 25. The answer key will be released on August 10 and the window to raise objections will remain open from August 11 to 20. The final answer key will be out on August 25 and results on August 30. Candidates who qualify for paper 1 will be eligible to teach in classes 1 to 5 and the candidates who clear paper 2 will be eligible to teach classes 6 to 8.
