After clearing IIT JEE, Shubham Mehta completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay.
The IIT JEE (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination) is one of the most toughest and coveted examinations in India. It requires perseverance and determination to clear this exam and get enrolled in prestigious engineering institutions. A candidate named Shubham Mehta not only cleared this exam, he also got the 2nd rank in the year 2011.
After clearing the examination, he completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. Later, he got a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Shubham Mehta studied for about 13-14 hours daily during his JEE preparation. He used to go to school only to write the practical and final examinations. He spared the rest of the time for coaching and self-study. Shubham was so engrossed in his academics that he played his favourite game only twice.
Shubham’s preparation for the IIT-JEE exam commenced in class 11th. He mostly focused on his preparations in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. His goal was not limited only to getting admission to IIT, but he also wanted to contribute to education and research in the future. While preparing for IIT-JEE, he followed a strict routine. He used to spend 6 hours on coaching and 7-8 hours of self-study regularly, six days a week. He attempted a test on Sunday, which was a 6-hour test examination based on the IIT pattern. Even after passing IIT-JEE, he didn’t sit ideally. He had started preparing for the International Physics Olympiad and became a gold medalist in it.
Shubham Mehta has worked as a software engineer in Samsung Cloud after completing a B.Tech from IIT and a master’s degree from the University of California. According to his LinkedIn profile, after this job, he acquired the position of Product Manager in Samsung Pay. He then worked in Samsung Electronics and is currently working in Amazon as Senior Product Manager, Technical (AWS Analytics).
