BJP MP Naveen Jindal Reaches Haryana Polling Station On Horse, Says ‘It’s Considered Auspicious’ | Video

After casting his vote, the Kurukshetra MP expressed confidence in BJP’s third consecutive victory spoke in support of his mother Savitri Jindal who is contesting from the Hisar seat as an independent candidate.

As Haryana voters turned up to the polling booths to exercise their voting franchise on Saturday, BJP MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal garnered attention as he arrived at a polling station in Kurukshetra on a horse to cast his vote.

As per the video shared by news agency ANI, Jindal can be seen riding a brown horse till the polling station while his security personnel lined up along the road. He then met his supporters and BJP workers and got clicked pictures with them.

After casting his vote, the Kurukshetra MP said that he chose to come on a horse because it is “considered auspicious”. He further said that the people of Haryana will bless the BJP and make the party come to power for the third consecutive term.

“There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people. We are very happy that they are casting their votes today and I am confident that the brave and aware people of Haryana will give their blessings to BJP…I came here on a horse as it is considered auspicious,” ANI quoted the BJP MP as saying.

He also expressed confidence in BJP’s third consecutive victory spoke in support of his mother Savitri Jindal who is contesting from the Hisar seat as an independent candidate.

“My mother Savitri Jindal, who is contesting from Hisar, wants to do a lot for Hisar. So, the people of Hisar will decide whom they want as representative…” he added.

When asked about Haryana’s chief ministerial face, Jindal said that incumbent CM Nayab Singh Saini will return to the post.

“Haryana will bless the BJP and Nayab Singh Saini will become CM again. He (Anil Vij) is also a very big leader of our party and time will tell who becomes (CM) but if a big leader has something in mind, he has the right to say it,” he added.

Naveen Jindal had quit the Congress party and joined BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in March this year.

Voting began for 90 assembly seats in Haryana on Saturday and saw voter turnout of 49.13% till 3 PM, according to the data released by the Election Commission of India. The results for the Haryana assembly election will be declared on October 8.
