The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Chennai has announced the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2024 round 2 provisional seat allotment result. Those who applied for the second round counselling can check the merit list on the official website at tnmedicalselection.net. The final seat allotment result will be issued today, September 26.

Seats will allotted based on the choices filled by candidates, their NEET rank, and seat availability. After the merit list is out, selected candidates must report to the allotted colleges within the specified timeline to confirm their admission. DMER is conducting the counselling procedure for admission to 85 per cent of the state’s MBBS and BDS quota seats.

Step 2: Click on the NEET UG counselling link on the homepage

Step 3: Select the round 2 seat allotment list

Step 4: A PDF file will open on the screen

Step 5: Download and save the page for further use.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Documents Required During Reporting

While reporting to the assigned colleges, candidates are required to carry the following documents:

–– NEET UG admit card and scorecard

–– Class 10 and 12 marksheets

–– Transfer certificate

–– Community certificate

–– Nativity certificate

–– Other relevant documents for specific quotas (e.g., NRI, minority status)

–– Certificate for proof of study from Class 6 to Class 12 for the candidates who have studied completely in Tamil Nadu

–– Income certificate

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has proposed that students be admitted to medical colleges based on scores from Class 12. The centralized exam conducted only on a single day, puts an enormous amount of pressure on the students, especially those from economically backward and rural backgrounds, the state govt had said. CM M K Stalin had said the DMK will not stop till Tamil Nadu gets an exemption from NEET UG. Meanwhile, the opposition BJP slammed the ruling party in the state for “politicising” NEET and said that the exam came into existence during the Congress-led UPA regime.
