Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani on Thursday officially welcomed her younger daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant into the Reliance family at the 47th AGM of RIL.
Speaking to the shareholders, Nita Ambani said: “This year, with the grace of our devis and devatas, Anant has embarked on a lifelong journey of togetherness with his soulmate Radhika. With open arms and hearts full of love, we welcome Radhika into our Reliance family. We are deeply grateful for the blessings and good wishes that each one of you have showered on Anant and Radhika for their wedding.”
This is not the first time that Reliance Foundation chairperson has extended a warm welcome to Radhika Merchant who tied the knot with Anant Ambani in a glittering ceremony in Mumbai on July 12.
The celebrations commenced with the Mameru ceremony hosted by Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani at Antilia. The auspicious Shubh Vivah ceremony, which boasted of a guest list comprising the who’s who from the walks of entertainment, politics and business, was held on July 12. A day later, the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony was held and the festivities ended on July 14 with the Mangal Utsav wedding reception.
In a special speech at the wedding, Nita Ambani, while welcoming the guests, had said: “At this moment, I’m overwhelmed with emotions of joy, gratitude and deep devotion as I watch these two pieces of my heart, Anant and Radhika, unite in this eternal bond. In Hindu tradition, marriage is a solid promise not just for this lifetime but for seven lifetimes. Saath janam ka saath. It’s a belief that souls destined to find each other do so again and again, their love deepening with each lifetime…”
During the lavish pre-wedding festivities of the couple, Mrs Ambani had said that when she first met Radhika, “I knew that Anant has found his soulmate, his perfect companion. And I found another daughter who shares my love for dance and, of course, my love for my son. Radhika, we welcome you with open arms as an Ambani beti. You are not just Anant’s partner, but a cherished daughter, sister, maasi, kaaki, and the light of all our lives”.
