The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has unveiled a highly sought-after Assistant Manager position with a lucrative salary of Rs 1.46 lakh.
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has announced a total of 49 vacancies for recruitment for the Assistant Manager position. The selected candidates will receive a salary of around Rs 1.46 lakh.
There are 21 seats for General, while four seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 12 posts are reserved for Other Backward Class (OBC), eight for Scheduled Castes (SC) and four Scheduled Tribes (ST).
The available positions include roles in Actuarial, Finance, Law, IT, Research, and Generalist functions. Specifically, the recruitment drive offers 24 Generalist positions and five specialised posts, each with distinct eligibility criteria.
For Actuarial, the candidate must be a graduate with 60 percent marks and should have cleared seven papers of the Associateship exam (AIA) from 2019. For finance recruitment, there should be at least 60 per cent marks in graduation and along with professional qualifications such as Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
For IT posts, the candidate should have Bachelor of Engineering or a Master’s degree in Computer Science. For research posts, the candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Economics. For the posts of Generalist, the candidate should have a graduate degree with 60 percent marks.
The age criteria for candidates range from 21 to 30 years. However, age relaxation is provided for certain categories like three years for OBC candidates, and five years for SC/ST candidates. Persons with Disabilities (PWD) can benefit from an extended age limit of up to 15 years for SC/ ST, 13 years for OBC, 10 years for General categories.
The selection process for IRDAI roles will consist of a written examination and an interview. The written test will be divided into two papers, one paper for these posts will be of 90 minutes, while the second paper will be of 60 minutes.
