Tirupati Temple Releases November Darshan Tickets, Cancels Special Sevas During Brahmotsavam

Darshan tickets for senior citizens and the disabled will be available on August 23 at 3 PM.

Tirumala is a spiritual place in the Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, attracting thousands of devotees every year. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) will release special darshan tickets at Tirumala Srivari for November on August 24 at 10 AM. The tickets will cost Rs 300 per person. Accommodation bookings for Tirumala and Tirupati will be available from 3 PM on the same day. Additionally, darshan tickets for senior citizens and the disabled will be available on August 23 at 3 PM.

Meanwhile, the TTD has cancelled certain Arjita Sevas and darshans during the upcoming annual Srivari Brahmotsavam scheduled to be held from October 4 to 12 with Ankurarpanam on October 3. The religious body has cancelled all special darshans, including darshans for parents with young children, senior citizens and the physically challenged, and VIP break darshans (only logged VIPs are allowed to self-report) to facilitate comfortable and satisfactory darshans to a larger number of pilgrims during the nine-day Brahmotsavam.

Besides, the TTD has once again requested the devotees regarding bookings of online darshan. The organisation requested not to contact any middlemen to get the booking.

Around 14,449 suspicious transactions were identified from 545 users. As per reports, all the users were blocked and a message has been forwarded to them informing them about the action. Some users booked around 225 Srivani darshan tickets, a premium darshan service for devotees. The organisation is reportedly conducting scans frequently to track any wrongdoings.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is also taking active steps to identify pilgrims who visit the place for darshan with fake IDs. The organisation mentioned that many pilgrims book accommodations and other services with fake IDs. They further added that it is the middlemen who do such things and thus requested the people to avoid using their services and book the darshan on their own. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams mentioned that they will take legal action against those who are indulged in such irregularities.
