BMC Clerk Recruitment 2024 Registration Begins for 1,846 Vacancies, Salary upto Rs 81,000

Under this recruitment drive, the BMC aims to fill a total of 1,846 Executive Assistants in Group C- Clerical grade vacancies

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is now accepting online applications for Clerk positions across various departments. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official BMC website atportal.mcgm.gov.in. It is important to note that the registration process is already underway, and the deadline to submit applications is September 8, 2024. Under this recruitment drive, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation aims to fill a total of 1,846 Executive Assistants in Group C- Clerical grade vacancies.

The official notification in Marathi, roughly translates to, “All candidates (including backward class candidates) who fulfill the age limit and other eligibility criteria prescribed for unreserved (open) general posts are considered eligible for a recommendation. Reserved category candidates must apply for posts available in their category. However, it is mandatory to accurately mention their original category information in the application.”

BMC Clerk Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Applicants from the unreserved (Open) category must be at least 18 years old and no older than 38 years to be eligible for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Executive Assistant posts. However, the age must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 43 years for Backward Category candidates.

Educational Qualification: Must have completed their Matriculation Examination from a recognised board.

BMC Clerk Recruitment 2024: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation atportal.mcgm.gov.in.

Step 2: Locate the “Prospectus” section and navigate to the “Careers” tab on the homepage.

Step 3: Then, a list of current recruitments will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Post this, click on the link titled, “Online Application Form for Executive Assistant (Previous Designation: Clerk).”

Step 5: Select the “New Registration” button and key in all the required details in the registration form.

Step 6: Scan and upload the necessary documents including your signature, photograph and mark sheets.

Step 7: Pay the prescribed application fee to complete the registration process and submit the online form.

Step 8: Lastly, save a copy of the form for future use.

BMC Clerk Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

Candidates applying for the posts are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1,000. However, applicants falling under the reserved category must pay a reduced fee of Rs 900.

BMC Clerk Recruitment 2024: Salary

Upon selection, applicants can expect a pay scale ranging between Rs 25,500- Rs 81,100 in pay Matrix-M 15 along with various allowances.
