NEET UG 2024 Counselling: The registration window for round 1 is open until August 20 at noon, and the payment window is open at the same time
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate Counselling 2024 today, August 14. Those who made it through the NEET UG 2024 and are interested in applying for the 15 per cent of the All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats can do so at mcc.nic.in, the official website.
The registration window for round 1 is open until August 20 at noon, and the payment window is open at the same time. The participating institutes and the National Medical Commission will verify the preliminary seat matrix from August 14 to 15. The choice-filling window will begin on August 16 and end on August 20 at 11:55 pm, with choice locking taking place on August 20 between 4 pm and 11:55 pm. The first round’s seat allocation will be completed between August 21 and 22, and the results will be made public on August 23. Candidates are required to report to their assigned institutions between August 24 and 29.

Step 1: Start by visiting the official NEET UG Counselling website at mcc.nic.in.
Step 2: Navigate to the section dedicated to NEET UG 2024 counselling.
Step 3: Click on the registration link provided for NEET UG 2024.
Step 4: Complete the registration form by filling in the required details.
Step 5: After registration, log in to your account to finalize the application process.
Step 6: Upload the necessary documents and pay the registration fee.
Step 7: Finally, download and print your completed NEET UG Counselling 2024 application form for future reference.
NEET UG counselling is being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. This year’s NEET UG counselling will be performed in four rounds for UG seats against all India quotas, deemed institutions, central universities, all AIIMS institutes, and JIPMER (Puducherry and Karaikal). These are the online stray vacant round, round 2 and round 3 of the AIQ.
On July 26, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the revised NEET UG 2024 results, revealing that only 17 students achieved a perfect score—a significant 75 per cent decrease from the initial results of 67 toppers. This revision was ordered by the Supreme Court of India, which directed the NTA to recalculate the results and follow the suggestion of IIT Delhi about a contentious Physics question.
