Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 Registration Deadline Set For Nov 4

PSTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams will be conducted to qualify for becoming a teacher for classes 1 to 8 in the state.

Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) has recently released the notification for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2024. For this registration has to be done by visiting the official website pstet.pseb.ac.in. The last date to apply is November 4, 2024. After this, changes in the application form can be done from November 5 to 8. As per the notification, Punjab TET 2024 exam will be conducted on December 1.

PSTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams will be conducted to qualify for becoming a teacher for classes 1 to 8 in the state. Punjab State Council of Educational Research and Training released the notification of PSTET on October 16. If you want to become a teacher, then note the information about eligibility, important dates, syllabus and exam pattern.

To appear in the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2024 Paper 1, applicants must have passed Class 12 with at least 45 per cent marks. Along with this, one must have done a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and graduation. As per the notification, there is no age limit. Anybody above the age of 18 can apply.

PSTET Paper 1 will have 150 questions of 150 marks. There will be a total of five sections. Each section will have 30 questions for 30 marks. The sections are Child Development and Pedagogy, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Language (Punjabi) and Language (English). The exam will be of 2.5 hours.

Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test Paper 2 will also have 150 questions of 150 marks. In this also, 30 questions of 30 marks will be asked in Child Development and Pedagogy and Langauge (Punjabi) and Language (English) sections. 60 questions will be asked for 60 marks related to the subject. The duration of the paper will be 150 minutes, 2.5 hours.

Candidates are requested to carry their PSTET Admit Card 2024, available just 7 to 10 days before the exam. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the test.
