Meet Manasi Kirloskar, Noel Tata’s Daughter-in-law Who Is Making Waves In The Business World

Manasi Kirloskar was appointed the Vice-chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts and Toyota Kirloskar Motor in 2023.

Ratan Tata left for his heavenly abode on October 9, leaving a wave of sadness in his wake across the country. Now, the late titan’s half-brother, Noel Tata will head the Tata Trust as the Chairman, which reportedly has 66 percent stake in Tata Sons. After his appointment, the interest grew around the rest of the Tata family. He is a father to three children, two daughters and a son Neville Tata, who is married to the daughter of another industrialist family, Manasi Kirloskar. Tata family’s daughter-in-law belongs to the well-known Kirloskar family of Maharashtra. Manasi is the daughter of Vikram and Geetanjali Kirloskar. She was born on August 7, 1990. Her family is based in Pune and shares a similar history to her husband’s family, the Tatas. Manasi Kirloskar got married to Neville Tata in 2019; the ceremony was conducted at Ratan Tata’s residence, in Mumbai.

After the death of her father, Vikram Kirloskar in 2023, Manasi was appointed the Vice-chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts and Toyota Kirloskar Motor. She is also the chairperson of several other companies like Toyota Engine India Limited, Kirloskar Toyota Textile Private Limited, Toyota Material Handling India Private Limited and Denso Kirloskar Industries Private Limited. Her achievements in Business earned her a Young Business Champion Award by the United Nations.

Education:

After completing her earlier studies, Manasi went to the United States to pursue her higher education. She attended the Rhode Island School of Design and earned a degree in the BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) course. The institution is located in Providence, Rhode Island and was established by Helen Adelia Rowe Metcalf, in 1877.

Numerous notable personalities are reported to be alumni of the institution, belonging to various industries. These include Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, Deborah Berke, a Yale University Dean and Hanson Robotics founder and CEO, David Hanson.

Apart from her business ventures, Manasi has remained connected to her art background. She travels the world, visiting renowned galleries, historical sites and museums. The reports state that her artwork was also praised by illustrious artist, the late MF Husain.
