The last date for the Staff Selection Commission General Duty (GD) Constable recruitment is October 14.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting applications for the post of General Duty (GD) constable in BSF, CRPF, CISF, and ITBP. The application process already started on September 5, 2024.

Application fee for SSC GD Constable:
The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 100.
The application fee for female candidates, SC/ST category, and ex-servicemen- None.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates, applying for this post of SSC GD Constable must be a 10th pass from a recognized board or institute.
Age Limit:
Candidates applying for these posts should be between 18 to 23 years of age as of January 1, 2024. Also, they should not be born before January 2, 2002, and after January 1, 2007.
Selection Process:
Candidates will first go through the Computer Based Test (CBT).
Secondly, they will have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Thirdly, they have to undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST).
Last, they have to go through the process of document verification and medical examination. Candidates have to clear all these stages to secure a position as an SSD GD Constable.

Total Marks- 160
Time Duration- 60 minutes
Negative Marking- 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
The exam covers four sections which include General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.
