Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his prayers to Goddess Siddhidatri, who is worshipped on the ninth day of Navratri.
As Navratri celebrations draw to a close, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt wishes to the nation on Friday. In a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, PM Modi offered his prayers to Maa Siddhidatri, who is worshipped on the ninth day of Navratri. “Millions of salutations to Maa Siddhidatri in Navratri. May all worshippers be blessed with the success of their goals by her grace. This hymn to Maa Siddhidatri is for all of you…,” PM Modi posted in Hindi. The Prime Minister also shared a video featuring a devotional stuti dedicated to the Goddess.

Navratri Day 9: Goddess Siddhidatri
According to Drik Panchang, Lord Rudra once worshipped Adi-Parashakti to initiate the creation of the universe. Adi-Parashakti, who originally had no form, manifested herself as Siddhidatri from the left half of Lord Shiva.
Symbolised as the supreme Goddess of Power, Siddhidatri is revered on the ninth day of Navratri. She is often depicted riding a lion and seated on a lotus. With four hands, she holds a Gada (mace) and a Chakra (discus) in her right hands, while her left hands carry a lotus flower and a Shankh (conch).
Siddhidatri is said to possess all types of Siddhis (spiritual powers) and is worshipped not only by humans but also by celestial beings such as Devas, Gandharvas, Asuras, Yakshas and Siddhas.
Navratri Day 9 Colour: Purple
The color associated with Day 9 is purple. This hue represents grandeur, majesty, and wealth, symbolising the richness of the goddess’s blessings. Wearing purple on this day is believed to attract prosperity and elevate one’s spiritual aura.

Dussehra/Vijaya Dashami Celebrations
Navratri, a festival dedicated to Maa Durga and her nine avatars—known as the Navdurgas—began on October 3 and will conclude on October 12 this year. The festival celebrates the triumph of good over evil, particularly symbolizing the slaying of the demon Mahishasura by Goddess Durga.
In different parts of India, the festival culminates in the celebration of Dussehra. This tradition commemorates Lord Ram’s victory over Ravana.
