Poultry Farm Owner in Bihar Spits on Labourer’s Face, Asks Son To Urinate on Him

The labourer claimed that as he was heading to work on October 4, he noticed the poultry farm owner on his way. When he asked for his due payment, his former employee became furious and began hurling caste slurs at him

In a shocking case of brutality, a poultry farm owner was accused of violently beating a laborer, spitting in his face, hurling caste slurs and then instructing his son to urinate on him.

The incident took place at Bochahan police station area of Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district when the labourer was demanding his due wage payment.

The laborer somehow ran away from the spot and filed a complaint at the police station against his former employer. The police have immediately started an investigation. A video of the incident has also surfaced online showing the father-son duo purportedly beating the labourer.

The victim, identified as Rinku Manjhi, is a resident of Chaupar Madan village in Bochaha subdivision of Muzaffarpur.

In his complaint, Manjhi stated that he had worked for two days at Ramesh Patel’s poultry farm in Karanpur North village, following which he changed his place of work. He claimed that the poultry owner did not pay him wages for two days.

Manjhi said that October 4, at 8:00 am, as he was heading to work, he saw Patel at the gate of his poultry farm. When he asked for his due payment, Patel became furious and began hurling caste slurs at him.

Manjhi stated that the accused and his son beat him, leaving him injured, and even threatened to kill him. He added that Patel spat in his face and also asked his son to urinate on him.

A video of the incident has emerged, showing two individuals allegedly beating a young man who had fallen on the road. It is claimed that the video was recorded on October 4.

Bochha Police Station In-Charge Rakesh Kumar Yadav said that they have received a complaint regarding beating up of a labourer over non-payment of wages. The police have seen the video of the incident. An FIR has been registered against Ramesh Patel, his brother Arun Patel and his son Gaurav Kumar, police said adding that further action will be taken after the matter is investigated.

Speaking on the incident, Muzaffarpur Rural SP Vidyasagar said that according to the FIR, caste slurs were hurled on Rinku Manjhi and the police will be taking further action.
