Congress Involved In Anti-India Conspiracies, ‘Deshbhakt’ Haryana Gave Them Befitting Reply: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday after BJP registered a thumping victory in the Haryana Assembly elections 2024.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the farmers gave a befitting reply to the Congress in Haryana by brushing off their attempt to instigate them. He further called the poll results ‘historic’.

Addressing party workers at BJP headquarters in Delhi, he further accused the grand old party of attempting to divide the country by hatching ‘anti-India’ conspiracies on ‘international levels.’

“Congress wants to weaken the country by weakening the Indian society and spreading anarchy in India, that is why they are instigating different sections. They are constantly trying to ignite a fire. The country saw how attempts were made to instigate farmers, but the farmers of Haryana gave them a befitting reply that they are with the country, they are with the BJP,” he said.

“Congress on several occasions tried to divide the country on international levels. We have to pledge that we will never allow them to do so,” he added.

Expressing his gratitude to the voters for giving a clear majority to the BJP for a record third term, PM Modi said, “People of Haryana have scripted history by blossoming lotus. They have not only made the BJP win but gave the highest number of votes to the party.”

Defying exit polls prediction, the BJP bagged 48 seats, paving the way for a record third consecutive term in Haryana. The Congress, on the other hand, won 37 seats in the 90-member Legislative Assembly.

PM Modi Targets Congress For ‘Spreading Hatred’

PM Modi slammed the Congress party for spreading ‘hatred’ and misleading the voters on different issues including that of farmers and Agniveers. “Congress family hates Dalit, Backward Classes and Tribals. They refused to give chance to them in the election and insulted their identity,” he said.

He further targeted the grand old party for their alleged intent to tarnish the image of the Election Commission, the police and the judiciary. It comes after Congress raised the charge of EVM manipulation after a setback in Haryana.

“Whether it is the Election Commission of the country, the police, the judiciary, the Congress wants to tarnish every institution. You will remember the kind of ruckus they created before the results of the Lok Sabha elections. During the elections too, these people and their urban Naxalite allies had gone to the Supreme Court to tarnish the image of the Election Commission. Today also they have done the same,” said PM Modi.

‘No-Entry’ For Congress In BJP States: PM Modi

PM Modi said whenever the BJP forms a government in any state, people support it for a long time and put “no entry” boards for the Congress.

“Congress rarely comes back to power. It was 13 years ago that the Congress came back to power in Assam and there are some states where the Congress has not returned to power for 60 years,” he said.

“Once the people throw out Congress, they do not let it come back. They put ‘no entry’ boards for Congress… it is a party that always thought power was its birthright,” the prime minister said.

‘Double-Engine’ Did Wonders In Haryana: PM Modi

Emphasising the double-engine government in Haryana, PM Modi underlined the welfare policies in the state that transformed the state in the past 10 years.

“The poor in Haryana have seen the work of a double-engine government for the last 10 years. From free medical facilities to tap water and concrete houses, Haryana’s poor families have many facilities. Now the BJP government of Haryana will give more impetus to the work of poor welfare,” he said.

“Our goal is very clear. The BJP government wants to take Haryana’s produce to the markets of the world. Haryana is also going to give strength to the mission of self-reliance in edible oil. This will also benefit Haryana’s oilseed farmers more. Haryana’s youth have proved their mettle all over the world,” he added.

Haryana, which held single-phase voting on October 5, recorded an impressive voter turnout of 67.90% across 90 assembly constituencies in 22 districts. Key players in this electoral battle were the BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, INLD-BSP, and the JJP-Azad Samaj Party.

PM Modi Congratulates NC For J-K Victory

After the poll results gave a clear mandate to the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi congratulated the Farooq Abdullah-led party on its victory. He noted the peaceful elections in the Kashmir valley and called it a victory of the ‘Indian Constitution’ and ‘Democracy.’

“Peaceful elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir, votes were counted and results were declared and this is the victory of the Indian Constitution and democracy. The people of Jammu and Kashmir gave the mandate to the NC alliance, I congratulate them too. If we look at the vote share percentage, BJP has emerged as the biggest party in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
